Democrats Are Not Hiding Anymore — Help Us Fight Back
In red communities across America, Democrats have long felt outnumbered and overlooked. The Coalition of Democratic Allies (CODA) is changing that — organizing, mobilizing, and making the Democratic voice impossible to ignore. But we can’t do it without you.
What Your Donation Funds
Block-walking literature so volunteers can canvass neighborhoods and introduce Democratic candidates’ door to door
Weekly protests with signs, poster boards, markers, and water showing red towns that Democrats are organized and showing up
Rallies including permits, sound systems, speakers, security, and refreshments to bring our community together
Organizing technology for turf-cutting, phone banking, texting, and robocalls to reach more voters than volunteers alone ever could
Two billboards, a professional website, and Zoom to keep our presence visible and our members connected
T-shirts for volunteers and meet & greet events where community members connect directly with Democratic candidates
Postcards and stamps-a group writes to democrats who didn’t vote and to those who need a reminder. CODA also writes to our legislatures.
Your Donation Makes Democracy Louder
Every item above costs real money — and every dollar donated goes directly to the work of building a stronger Democratic presence where it is needed most. When you give to CODA, you are funding a movement that tells every isolated Democrat in a red community: you are not alone, and we are fighting for you.
Please donate to the Coalition of Democratic Allies today.
Every dollar counts. Every voice matters. Every community deserves to be heard.

The Environmental Pollution Agency
by Mo Tanner
The Administration is eliminating environmental regulations limiting carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants such as mercury. This certainly will save money for large wealthy corporations which no longer will have to pay for equipment to control the pollution they generate. Despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary the Administration regards climate change as a hoax, so it ignores the economic costs it will cause.
The Administration claims its rule changes will save the United States $1.3 Trillion. One estimate from the Environmental Defense Fund places the cost of these changes at $4.7 Trillion. A study by BBC estimated the cost in lost wages in the United States due to climate change since 2020 at 12%.
Neither study included the costs of extreme weather events. There were 25 such events in the United States in 2025. Their cost is estimated at $115 Billion. They also claimed 276 lives. The household costs in terms of increased insurance premiums, price increases, etc., is estimated to be as much as $1,000. The studies also did not include increased health care costs resulting from eliminating these regulations.
The eliminated regulations would have reduced power plant carbon dioxide emissions 75% below 2025 levels by 2035 and further in the coming years. A lot of these reductions would have been achieved by retiring older coal fired generating plants. In addition to air pollution, these plants produce toxic coal ash. Coal fired power plants produced 50% of U.S. electricity in 1990. In 2022 they produced only 17%. This was due to economic forces; environmental regulations; increasing use of natural gas for power generation; addition of wind and solar power to the grid; and the cost of preventing environmental damage from toxic coal ash, which presents significant engineering challenges.
Gas power generation still would have to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions to meet these goals. Exxon-Mobil claims to be a global leader in carbon capture and storage, using existing technology by injecting deep underground for secure, permanent storage.
If so, meeting these goals would seem to be both possible and profitable. Apparently, the Administration does not care if we cede global leadership in this area to Europe or China and Americans ultimately will have to buy this technology from them.
The Administration also eliminated the requirement for automobile stop-start technology and more efficient air conditioning. This is available in about 2/3 of vehicles and improves fuel economy by 7 to 26%. The Administration claims that stop-start technology harms engines and significantly impacts battery life. However, these claims do not seem to be based on reliable studies.
The Administration also is weakening the rules for how far vehicles must travel on a gallon of gas and the permissible amount of tailpipe emissions. It has exempted coke ovens used in steelmaking from clean air regulations. Coke ovens produce many carcinogenic compounds. The President also issued an executive order to encourage the use of glyphosate, a principal ingredient in roundup, which already is widely used for weed control despite considerable concerns over its impact on the environment and human health. One wonders how these actions will contribute to making America healthy again.
While some rule changes may increase the profitability of American car manufacturers in the short run, it will place them at a significant competitive disadvantage in selling their products overseas. Europe, Japan, and China continue to improve on electric vehicles and gas saving technology. At some point American automobile manufacturers will have to rely on the technology being developed elsewhere to remain in business.
The Administration also is loosening the rules on glyphosate, a chemical used in Roundup, which is widely used in agriculture. Foreign agencies, but not the EPA, have concluded it is carcinogenic. Its manufacturer recently paid $7.25 Million to settle lawsuits claiming glyphosate is carcinogenic. Preserving corporate profits are more important than making America Healthy Again.
What regulations the Administration does not eliminate, it simply does not enforce. In the last year of the Biden Administration the EPA conducted a total of 1850 civil enforcement actions. In 2025 the EPA conducted a total of only 16 civil enforcement actions.
The science behind these pollution rules did not change. The Administration ignores science as a matter of course. The costs to the people of the United States or the long-term consequences for our economy were not considered. Rewarding campaign contributions by oligarchs and increasing corporate profits certainly was considered.
Texas Under Republican Rule: US House District 27
Michael Cloud vs. Tanya Lloyd
The Job
A member of the US House represents Texans in Congress, votes on federal budgets, protects constitutional rights, and advocates for local economic and disaster recovery needs.
Michael Cloud’s Record
Michael Cloud has built his congressional career around ideological purity and obstruction. He has repeatedly opposed bipartisan legislation, supported government shutdown tactics, and aligned himself with the most extreme elements of his party.
Cloud’s record reflects a focus on national political theater rather than delivering results for his district. Disaster preparedness, infrastructure investment, and economic stability have taken a back seat to ideological posturing.
The Cost to Texans
Communities in District 27 face growing vulnerability to storms, infrastructure strain, and economic uncertainty while their representative prioritizes headlines over solutions.
Tanya Lloyd’s Approach
Tanya Lloyd offers a results driven alternative. Her campaign centers on disaster resilience, economic opportunity, and bipartisan cooperation to deliver tangible benefits to South Texas communities.
Lloyd’s approach emphasizes service over spectacle and governing over grandstanding.
The Choice
Michael Cloud represents gridlock and ideological rigidity.
Tanya Lloyd represents pragmatic leadership focused on results.
Bottom Line
Congress works best when representatives show up to govern.
District 27 deserves leadership that delivers, not delays.
